The Seasonal Affective Disorder Index for July and August

Tagged:

Seasonal affective disorders increase during the hottest days of the year. Many people who suffer from humidity and high temperatures tend to stay indoors like they do in the winter; consequently, they often experience some of the same S.A.D. symptoms they feel in December or January.
Key for Interpreting the S.A.D. Index: Clouds = Cloud Cover; Weather = Weather Conditions; Dayl = Hours of Daylight. Totals of 75 - 65: Severe stress for those who suffer from seasonal affective disorders; 64 - 50: Moderate stress; 49 - 35: Light stress; 34 - 25: Occasional stress for those most susceptible to S.A.D.; 24 and below: Only people with extreme sensitivity to S.A.D. have seasonal affective disorders below an Index reading of 24.
