Mrs. Timberlake’s wild geraniums are in full bloom (no buttercups). A few grackles cluck in the alley, cardinals call in the distance this morning. No red-bellied woodpecker heard. The alley willow is completely leafed out, red mulberry leaves the size of a squirrel’s ear. A few sweet rockets have buds now, and sweet Williams approach the budding stage. The first star of Bethlehem opened today and the first late, small, red tulip.
